Building Something Great For God
David had a lofty goal, and he would not quit until he accomplished it. Each New Year we have goals but they are usually all about us: our weight, finances, jobs, or families. All good goals, but David’s goal wasn’t about himself; his goal was for God and the building of the temple God wanted built. He couldn’t believe that God’s request had gone unmet for so long! God has called His people to build something great for Him! Yes, we are the temple of God, and we represent a temple within a Godly kingdom. Are we building something for God or for ourselves? We already know God, but how about building something great for God so that others can get to know Him? Something bigger than a building – a ministry, a mission, a place for God to dwell. 2010, let’s not just go through the motions like in the Temple of Moses where there was no Arc of God’s presence. Let’s build a temple where the presence of God dwells. Where God’s presence is there is healing, there is deliverance, there is salvation, there is power, there is redemption! Let’s build something great for God.
