Margaret Ike

My name is Margaret Ike. My husband, Wes, and I joined Epic Faith along with our two girls in 1995, though back then we were known as Calvary Christian Fellowship.  We immediately felt a connection with this warm, loving, authentic group of people. We soon were serving alongside them in the nursery, in small groups, through outreach, and eventually as Elders.  Wes also served on the finance committee.

As our roles grew and deepened, so did our connections and relationships with those we served with. Our characters and our walks with the Lord grew and deepened as well.  We moved from wanting to impact our church body to wanting to impact our community as well. The changes going on in us were mirrored by the changes going on in CCF. We had a growing desire not only to make a difference in our members, but also in our world. We changed our name from Calvary Christian Fellowship to Epic Faith to reflect the journey we all travel together.

Each of us has a unique story to tell. As the Master Story teller weaves our stories, our individual threads will cross those of others, become interwoven, and bind together.  The blending of our threads makes us stronger, more colorful, more beautiful.  We are united through our stories, and through His story. We are part of the Greatest Epic, and we want to reflect that through our love for others.

In July of 2007 we lost Wes to lung cancer. His story has ended, but the threads of his story are still part of our fabric, part of our continuing epic.  I could not ask for a better group of people than the ones at Epic Faith, and I look forward to the stories we will write together with the Lord.
