As we have begun a new school year on the reservation, we’ve started some excited things for this year! The youth center has been filled with a new crew of students (a lot of freshmen), and some of our students who are seniors this year are preparing for the next step in their lives as they prepare for college and as they grow in their faith! Our ministry is hosting a social intervention program this year too called “Life Hurts, God Heals” (an 8-step program based on the Beatitudes), geared toward teens that struggle with alcohol/drug addictions, suicidal thoughts, cutting…pretty much (as our resource director puts it) it’s “for anyone who hurts.”
We also just got back into AZ from a two week sabbatical/vacation to Atlanta, GA, where we spent time with family, friends, and God (in the IHOP-Atlanta prayer room). It was a much needed time for us, as we continue to be honest with ourselves, each other, and God in the grieving process.
Please Pray
• Please pray for our high school seniors as they make choices for the next chapter of their lives.
• There have recently been a couple of suicides on the reservation. Please pray for the families, and for those who struggle with suicidal tendencies.
• Please pray with us for Divine appointments with the teens that we work with, that we’d be able to share the Love of Christ in a transforming way.

Paul and Eilene Allen

Dr. Paul and Eileen Allyn are 29 year veteran missionaries serving in the Dominican Republic and around the world since 1980. Their ministry is incorporated in the USA under the name HARVEST NOW MINISTRIES, INC. and functions in the Dominican Republic as CONFRATERNIDAD DE MINISTERIOS CRISTIANOS “EL CALVARIO” which serves as an umbrella organization for the various ministries they have started and for other ministries that have come to them for spiritual covering. They are committed to:
- Bring in the harvest
- Prepare a “kairos” generation of men and women to fulfill God’s call to ministry that is over the nation
- Mobilize Dominicans for Missions
- Spreading revival throughout the country
- Fostering a truly functional and lasting unity in the Body of Christ
Preparing Workers for the Harvest
This past year the ministry opened three new branches of the church planting institute. One in Nagua, near the north coast, and the other in Quisqueya de San Pedro, in the east. The third, new institute operates in Santiago. Plans are in the works to re-open the Haitian Church Planting Institute this fall.
A major thrust of the ministry is the training of men and women of all ages for ministry. They offer two institute programs. One focuses on church planting, missions and church growth. The other is designed for general ministry preparation. Their institutes have graduated close to a thousand students over the past 7 years. These graduates have gone on to start numerous churches and ministries.
