Derrick Perkins serves as the volunteer youth director of EPIC EDGE, Epic’s student ministry for grades 6-12.  Derrick grew up in the Duluth area and attended Duluth High School.  He graduated from Berry College in Rome, GA and works full time in finance for a commercial real estate company.  He is married to Lindsay and lives in Suwanee. “What makes serving the youth at EPIC so awesome is that it is truly an extension of the ministry that EPIC does every day of the week.  We invite kids to come as they are to youth group, no matter where they are in their journey wtih God, to have real-life discussions about what it means to follow Him.  By talking about real-world issues we are able to show them how Christ’s message is applicable to every part of their life.  Myself and the rest of the team work hard to make the youth ministry a place where students can come to feel God’s unconditional love.”
