Epic Edge Student Ministry is lead by volunteers under the direction of Derrick Perkins. Derrick and James Sansbury shared their insights as to why over 40 kids who do not attend our Sunday worship will come out every week, some walking here from school and hanging around until the meeting starts at 7pm. “I wasn’t prepared to answer the questions that these kids were asking but I realize that the world that they live in is certainly not able to answer them!” Caring adults live on the edge with these young people every Wednesday night, and many Epic’s own youth have been hugely responsible for inviting their friends, and they in turn invite others – even after only being here one time! It is clear that Epic Faith is providing a safe environment for them to ask their questions – a place without judgment, criticism, or shock; a place that cares about their questions, but cares even more about THEM.
